An overview of the simple sentence and its possible kinds used to express different tones. A set of words that is complete in itself, typically containing a subject and predicate, conveying a statement, question, exclamation, or command, and consisting of a main clause and sometimes one or more subordinate clauses.
1. ENGLISH GRAMMAR THE SENTENCE
We express our thoughts by speaking or writing words which are arranged in a particular order.
These groups of orderly arranged words make complete sense and convey a clear meaning.

KINDS OF SENTENCES
(ABSertiVe SERHEHEES : An Assertive sentence expresses

Astatement always ends with a full stop (.)

Example: There was a diary on the desk’

The girl drank a glass of juice .
Interrogative Sentences : An Interrogative sentence asks a question.
A question always ends with an interrogation mark (?)
Example: Which book are you reading ?
Where are these people going?
Imperative Sentences : An Imperative sentence expresses an order or a request.
An Imperative sentence always ends with a full stop (.)
Example : Do not talk so loudly.
Try to do better.
Exclamatory Sentences : An Exclamatory sentence exoresses a strong feeling.
‘An Exclamatory sentence always ends with an exclamation mark (!)
